Wir brauchen diese kleinen Sonnenblitzer am Wegesrand, die uns ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern und uns den Tag erhellen. Sie machen die Schritte leicht und das Herz beschwingt.

Lasst uns die Dinge so machen, wie wir wollen und nicht so, wie sie jeden Tag von allen gemacht wurden. Ich denke, manchmal brauchen wir mehr Selbstvertrauen und Mut, um so zu sein, wie wir sind.
In diesem Sinne: Don’t be boring.
Sei du selbst.
Let us make the things like we want and not how they were made everyday from everyone. I think sometimes we need more confidence and courage to be how we are.
In this sense: Don’t be boring.

Dieses Bild ist inspiriert von der herausfordernden Zeit der Covid-19-Pandemie. Einer Zeit voller Prüfungen und Schwierigkeiten, einer Zeit der Suche nach neuen Wegen, die Gesundheit, Glück und Sicherheit bringen.
Ich hoffe, es ist auch eine Zeit des Findens: Hoffnung und Glück in uns selbst zu finden, in den kleinen und den großen Dingen.
Ich glaube an das Licht am Horizont.
This painting is inspired by the covid-19 pandemic time. A time full of trials and tribulations, a time of searching new ways bringing health and happiness and safety.
I hope it is a time of finding: finding hope and happiness in us selves, in the small things and the big ones.

Yellow Breeze ist unterwegs…Yellow Breeze is on its way.
Über Ostern durfte sie noch bei mir bleiben, die Gelbe Brise und mich heiter umwehen, aber nun geht es für sie weiter nach London, in ihr neues Zuhause.
Was war das doch zuletzt noch für eine Zitterpartie wegen der seit dem Brexit erforderlichen Zolldokumente. Dreimal wurden sie von der Zollagentur falsch ausgestellt und zuletzt rannte mir die Zeit weg, denn nach jedem neuen Ausstellen der Dokumente müssen 24 Stunden vergehen, ehe der Zoll die Freigabe erteilt.
Heute früh um 10:00 sollte die Freigabe erfolgen und mir die Dokumente zugestellt werden. Um genau 10:00 war dann auch der DHL Kurier zum Pickup avisiert. Hui, da habe ich doch ganz schön gebibbert auf den letzten Metern.
Gottseidank war der Kurier noch nicht eingetroffen, als dann endlich um 10:30 die sehnlichst erwarteten Zolldokumente ankamen.
Danach war ich erstmal „fertig mit Hose und Jacke“, wie man bei uns im Ruhrgebiet so schön sagt und ein Kaffee war fällig.
Jetzt aber ist alle Nervosität von mir abgefallen und ich bin nur noch voller Freude für unsere hübsche „Yellow Breeze“, die es zuletzt auch gar nicht mehr abwarten konnte, dass es endlich los geht.
Viel Freude, meine Hübsche und viel Spaß auch dem lieben Sammler! Sie haben eine wirklich gute Wahl getroffen.

She was allowed to stay with me over Easter, the yellow breeze and blowing around me cheerfully, but now she’s on to London, to her new home.
What a tremendous game it was in the end because of the customs documents required since Brexit. They were issued incorrectly three times by the customs agency and in the end I ran out of time, because after each new issue of the documents 24 hours have to pass before the customs issue the clearance.
This morning at 10:00 the release should take place and the documents should be sent to me. At exactly 10:00 am, the DHL courier was announced for the pickup. Wow, I trembled a lot on the last few meters.
Thank God the courier had not yet arrived when the long-awaited customs documents finally arrived at 10:30 am.
After that I was „finished with pants and jacket“, as they say in the Ruhr area, and a coffee was due.
But now all nervousness has fallen from me and I am only full of joy for our pretty „Yellow Breeze“, who couldn’t wait for it to finally start.
Have fun, my pretty one, and have fun also for the dear collector! You made a really good choice.

Manchmal stürmt so Vieles auf einen ein, dass es sich türmt und ein gangbarer Weg in weiter Ferne scheint. Es knubbelt sich und alles ist wie verknotet. Undurchsichtig, überwältigend, erschlagend. Wo ist ein Weg? Wo das Licht am Horizont?
In uns. Ich glaube fest, es ist in jedem von uns. Das Licht und der Friede.
Also, Never Surrender, gib nicht auf. Gib nicht auf, an den Frieden zu glauben, an das Licht am Ende des Tunnels.
Sometimes so much storms at you that it piles up and a viable path seems a long way off. It bumps up and everything is knotted. Opaque, overwhelming, daunting. Where is a way? Where is the light on the horizon?
In us. I firmly believe it’s in each of us. The light and the peace.
So, Never Surrender, don’t give up. Don’t give up believing in peace, in the light at the end of the tunnel.

Heute ist in Deutschland Karneval oder „Fasching“, wie man in Bayern sagt. Normalerweise herrscht ein buntes und „närrisches“ Treiben, aber Corona hat alles „Närrische“ vereitelt und die Feier und der Rosenmontagszug wurden abgesagt.
Aber in der Kunst macht niemand dem „Trubel“ ein Ende. Nein, alles ist erlaubt, ich kann „närrisch“ sein, wie es mir gefällt und male mir Konfetti in die Welt.
Today in Germany is Carnival, or „Fasching“ as they say in Bavaria.
Usually there is a colorful and foolish hustle and bustle, but Corona thwarted all the „fools“ and the celebration and the Rose Monday procession are canceled.
But in art nobody puts a stop to the „hustle and bustle“, everything is allowed, I can be „foolish“ as I please.
