Ohne Malen geht es nicht

Ohne zu malen ist irgendwie alles grau….ohne der Farbe Grau Unrecht tun zu wollen. Sie ist auch perfekt in ihrem Sein und bringt andere Farben erst richtig zum Strahlen. Aber ihr wisst, wie ich es meine, ja?!

It does not work without painting

Without painting somehow everything is gray …. without wanting to do wrong with the color gray. She is also perfect in her being and really makes other colors shine.

But you know how I mean it, yes ?!

 

Grau-Grey

Was auch sei, ich brauche den Duft nasser Farbe, das Gesicht und Hände bunt…Letztens erwischte mich mein Mann mit weissen Farbsträhnen im Haar, die KEINE Tönung waren, sondern leider aus Acryl. Was für eine Friemelei, die etlichen Farbsprinkelchen wieder aus den Haaren zu bekommen.

Und: ich liebe es!

Ich liebe es, wenn ich mich mit meiner Herzensfreundin zum Kaffee verabrede, sie mir gegenüber sitzend plötzlich immer breiter schmunzelnd sagt. “ Aha, heute war also Gelb dran“.

Anyway, I need the smell of wet paint, the face and hands colorful … Recently, my husband caught me with white streaks of color in my hair, which was NOT tint, but unfortunately made of acrylic. What a „Friemelei“ (I do not have an English word for it. How do you say to tricky work? )  to get the many color sprinklers out of the hair again.

And: I love it!

I love it, when I make a date with my girlfriend for coffee, suddenly she sits down and says, smiling wider and wider. „Aha, so today was yellwo turn“

So habe ich also in den letzten Tagen wieder eine große Rolle Leinwand hervor geholt. Ausgerollt. Zugeschnitten. Und die ersten Farbschichten sind längst getrocknet, ehe es bald weiter geht. Wie genau? Ich weiss es nicht. Ich lasse mich überraschen und halte euch auf dem Laufenden.

So I have spent the last few days again brought forth a large role canvas. Rolled out. Tailored. And the first layers of paint have long dried before it goes on soon. How exactly? I dont know. I let myself be surprised and will keep you up to date.

Sold! Ein neues Zuhause für No. 109…A new home for No. 109

Heute Morgen erhielt ich die Nachricht, dass meine geliebte No. 109 nun auch ein neues Zuhause gefunden hat: in den USA!

This morning I received the message that my beloved No. 109 has also found a new home: in the US!

Ist das nicht großartig??!/ Is’nt that great ??!

Nun geht es wieder ans Verpacken. Eine große Versand- Kiste ist bereits bei der Firma Deufol in Dortmund in Auftrag gegeben. Sie haben mir ja schon bei der No. 97 und auch No. 406, No. 306 und No. 115 eine super Kiste gebastelt. Klasse Team! Klasse Arbeit! Ich freue mich schon auf die Zusammenarbeit.

Now it’s time to pack again. A large shipping box has already been ordered from Deufol in Dortmund. They already made me such a great box for No. 97 and also No.406, No. 306 and No. 115. Great team! Great work! I am looking forward to the cooperation.

Wie kommen die Blätter aufs Bild?…How are the leaves come on the painting

Wie kommen die Blätter aufs Bild?
Das weiss ich auch noch nicht. Ich kann noch nicht einmal sagen, ob sie denn überhaupt auf einem der Bilder die gerade in Arbeit sind Verwendung finden, aber vorbereitet sind sie auf alle Fälle schon mal.

As the leaves come on the picture?
I do not even know it now. I can not even tell if they ever find use of any of the paintings that are currently under development , but they are prepared in any case ever.

Ich liebe es mit verschiedenen, auch ungewöhnlichen, Materialien zu spielen. Die Betonung liegt tatsächlich auf „spielen“, denn mit all der Leichtigkeit eines Spiels sollen und dürfen sich die Bilder mit allem finden, was gerade „hier“ ist und da ist es einfach super, wenn man einen möglichst großen Fundus zur Verfügung hat.

I love to play with different and unusual materials. The emphasis is really on „play“, because with all the ease of a game shall and may the paintings find itself with all what just is „here“ and therefor it’s great if you have the largest possible fundus available.

Also halte ich alle Sinne offen und „sammle“, was mich gerade „anspringt“, nicht einmal wissend, ob oder wie ich es später tatsächlich verwende, aber es ist da…und jedes so „gesammelte“ Teil ist eine Einladung an die Kreativität, sich frei zu entfalten.

So I hold all my sense open and „collect“ all, what myself jumps at, not even knowing if or how I actually use it later, but it’s here….and every so „collected“ part is an invitation to the creativity to express itself freely.

Work in progress……

Natürlich habe ich gerade gleich zwei Bilder gleichzeitig in Arbeit, wie soll es auch anders sein und zwischendrin, während des Trocknungsprozesses der einzelnen Schichten, braucht das ins Leben kommende Bild immer auch Phasen des Zur-Ruhe-Kommens, eines Innehaltens und Verschnaufens, einer Introspektive und Sammlung. Ich liebe diese Zeiten ebenso, wie die Momente, wenn es quasi Hals über Kopf voran stürmt und mich mitsamt Pinsel beinahe atemlos, aber regelrecht entzückt mit sich reisst.

Of course I have just two images simultaneously in work as it should be otherwise and in between, during the drying process of the individual layers, the picture coming into being always need phases of the „to-rest coming“, a pause and  breather, an introspective and collection. I love these times as well as the moments when it has a fantastic nearly head over heels ahead and pulls me together with the brush almost breathless, but downright delighted with it.

Neue Bilder und Einblicke…New Paintings and insights…

Auch wenn ich in den letzten 14 Tagen mehr in diversen Arztpraxen als in meinem kleinen Studio „zu Gast“ war, hat sich etwas gemalt.
Wann immer es mir möglich war, bin ich zu meinen Farben und Pinseln und spätestens nach einigen Minuten fiel alle Anspannung von mir ab, die Schultern senkten sich, der Atem wurde tiefer und es fühlte sich an, wie im Auge des Sturms.

So willkommen! So intim! Diese Augenblicke allein mit mir, allein mit meinen Farben und Pinseln, den Schwämmen und Walzen, allein vor dem jungfräulichen Weiss der Leinwände.

Even though I was „guest“ more in various medical practices than in my little studio in the last 14 days, something has painted.
When it was always possible to me, I’m into my paints and brushes and, after a few minutes  all tension fell from me, the shoulders drooped, the breathing became deeper and it felt like in the eye of the storm.

So welcome! So intimate! These moments alone with me, alone with my paints and brushes, sponges and rollers alone before the virginal white of the canvas.

Leer laufen lassen…frei sein….atmen….Freude. Alle Gedanken still….und aus dieser Stille ersteigen Bilder, wie sie sich selber malen wollen….und sie atmen…und tanzen, mal luftig und schwerelos, mal weinend, mal lachend und immer voller Leben, voller Energie.

Einige Bilder sind noch in Arbeit und es darf so sein…es hat keine Eile…darf dauern, wie es will. Ich „ziehe“ nicht an einem Ergebnis, sondern lasse dem Bild die Zeit, die es haben will, zu werden und zu sein, bis es „sagt“, dass es fertig ist.

Run empty … be free …. breathe …. joy. All thoughts silent …. and from this silence ascend images as they want to paint himself …. and breathe … and dance, sometimes airy and weightless, sometimes crying, sometimes laughing and always full of life, full of energy.

Some paintings are still in progress and it may be so … there’s no hurry … may take as it wants. I „pull“ not to a result, but leave the picture the time want it to be and to be, until it „says“ that it is finished.

Hurra, es leuchtet….Hooray, it glows…

Hurra, es leuchtet…

Ja, jetzt sind bei 10 Bildern schon die erforderlichen kleinen Farbkorrekturen erfolgt und ich habe solche Freude im Bauch, wenn ich jetzt meine Bilder anschaue. Es leuchten die Farben und ich strahle mit ihnen um die Wette.  🙂 Jetzt werden nächsten Montag noch die restlichen Bilder beim und mit dem Fotografen gemeinsam Farb-korrigiert und dann stehen nur noch die Bilderfahnen aus.

 

Hooray, it glows…

Yes, now the required small color corrections at 10 frames are already done and I have such joy in my stomach if I now look at my pictures. The bright colors and I radiate with them to the bet.  🙂  Now the rest of the pictures next Monday will be still together color–corrected with the photographer and then only the pictures flags stand out.
