Weihnachten mit „Orange“

Ihr Lieben überall,

Für dieses Jahr verabschiede ich mich mit meinen diesjährig letzten Arbeiten „Orange“ and „The Orange-Dad Loves Orange“ each of them approx. 140x 160 cm.

Ein turbulentes und aufregendes Jahr liegt hinter uns, die Welt schlug so einige Kapriolen und manchesmal glaubte man, nur mit angelegten Ohren durch den Sturm zu kommen.

Viel gemalt habe ich diesem Jahr ebenfalls. Vor allem entdeckte ich meine Liebe zu großformatigen Bildern wieder, die ich lange Zeit aus Platzgründen hintenan gestellt hatte. Nun schwelge ich in Farben auf großformatigen Leinwänden und fühle mich pudelwohl.
Gleich im nächsten Jahr will ich damit weitermachen. Die nächste Rolle Leinwand ist bereits gekauft 😄.

Es gab auch einige Bilderkisten zu packen und meine Werke fanden bei wiederkehrenden, aber auch neuen Sammlern ein neues „forever home“ überall auf der Welt, was mich sehr, sehr freut.

Jetzt aber wende ich mich erst einmal Plätzchenduft und Tannengrün zu und stimme mich auf Weihnachten ein. Die Geschenke sind verpackt, alle Karten geschrieben und auch die ersten Plätzchen sind genascht ( danke liebe Nachbarin für die leckeren Kekse!!)

Euch allen, Freunden, Sammlern, Galerien, danke ich für die tolle Unterstützung auf welche Art auch immer, die ihr mir habt zuteil werden lassen. Ich weiss es sehr zu schätzen!

Habt eine frohe und gemütliche Weihnachtszeit und kommt gut rüber in eine gesundes und glückliches Neues Jahr, 2024.

Dear ones everywhere,

For this year I say goodbye with my last works of the year „Orange“ and „The Orange-Dad Loves Orange“ each of them approx. 140x160cm.

A turbulent and exciting year lies behind us, the world had a lot of twists and turns and at times we thought we could only get through the storm with our ears flattened.

I also painted a lot this year. Above all, I rediscovered my love for large-format images, which I had put aside for a long time due to lack of space. Now I indulge in colors on large-format canvases and feel completely at home.
I want to continue with it next year. The next roll of canvas has already been purchased 😄.

There were also a few picture boxes to pack and my works found a new „forever home“ all over the world with returning and new collectors, which makes me very, very happy.

But now I turn to the scent of cookies and pine greens and get in the mood for Christmas. The presents are wrapped, all the cards are written and the first cookies have been eaten (thanks dear neighbor for the delicious cookies!!)

I would like to thank all of you, friends, collectors, galleries, for the great support in whatever way you have given me. I really appreciate it!

Have a merry and cozy Christmas time and have a healthy and happy New Year, 2024.

Welche Richtung…Which Direction

Hach, was hatte ich einen Spaß beim Malen dieses Bildes. Von einer großen Leinwand, die ich zuvor noch fertiggestellt hatte, blieben mir die großen, farbgetränkten Pinsel und es war mir einfach zu schade, die viele Farbe auszuwaschen. Also nahm ich mir flugs eine neue Leinwand, legte alle Pinsel kreuz und quer darauf und malte beidhändig!

Rechts ein Pinsel, links ein Pinsel und es entstand eine muntere Kommunikation zwischen diesen beiden Pinseln…fast, wie im menschlichen Er-Leben. Der eine will hier entlang, der andre dort hin und immer musste man zwischendurch neu abstimmen: „Welche Richtung“, „Which Direction“.

Ich finde, die beiden Pinsel haben das ganz prachtvoll gelöst, schaut selbst:

Oh, what a fun I had while painting this picture. From a large canvas that I had previously finished, I had the large, paint-soaked brushes and it was just too bad for me to wash out all the paint. So I quickly took on a new canvas, laid all the brushes criss-cross on it and painted with both hands!

A brush on the right, a brush on the left, and there was a lively communication between these two brushes … almost like in human experience. One person wants to go this way, the other there and you always had to re-vote in between: „Which Direction“.

I think the two brushes have solved that very well, see for yourself:

Turbulence

Turbulent, aber nicht unbedingt chaotisch, so präsentiert sich für mich derzeit das Leben in Coronazeiten. Im Würfelbecher sind zwar dieselben Würfel wie zuvor, doch sie werden neu gemischt und oftmals ist das Ergebnis völlig anders, als von uns gewohnt…und befremdend. Man muss sich erst einmal herantrauen und hinsehen, ehe man sich getraut auch anzunehmen, was dort vor uns liegt.

Das Alleinsein, was jetzt zu Coronazeiten oftmals die schwerste Hürde ist,  muss nicht weh tun und kann ein Durchgang zu etwas Neuem sein. „Doorway“, meine liebe „Sister in art“, Janet, sprach kürzlich in ihrem Blog übers solche Doorways, die sich öffnen, wenn man hindurchgeht.

Es ist eine Zeit voller Herausforderungen und neuer Chancen, voller Unsicherheit, aber auch Hoffnung. Wir haben es in unseren Händen, das Beste aus dem zu machen, was uns das Leben bietet. Lasst es uns versuchen…das Beste, was auch immer das für uns jeweils sei.

Turbulent, but not necessarily chaotic, this is what life in Corona times is like for me at the moment. The dice cup contains the same dice as before, but they are shuffled anew and the result is often completely different from what we are used to … and strange. You first have to dare to look and see before you dare to accept what lies ahead of us.

Being alone, which is often the toughest hurdle in Corona times, doesn’t have to hurt and can be a passage to something new. „Doorway“, my dear „Sister in Art“, Janet, recently spoke on her blog about such doorways that open when you walk through them.

It is a time full of challenges and new opportunities, full of uncertainty, but also hope. It is in our hands to make the most of what life has to offer. Let’s try … the best, whatever it is for us at a time.

Black and White IV

Schwarzweiss und trotzdem „bunt“ auf seine Weise, kraftvoll und ausdrucksstark präsentiert sich Black and White IV. Klein, aber oho, sagt man ja so schön und hier trifft es voll zu, oder was meint ihr?

Black and white and yet „colorful“ in its own way, powerful and expressive, Black and White IV presents itself. Small, but oho, they say so beautifully and here it fully applies, or what do you think?
