Selten ließ sich ein Bild so lang bitten, bis es mir seinen Titel verriet.
Seit einer Woche schon wartete die große Leinwand darauf, sich euch zu zeigen und wollte erst einen Namen tragen, den es euch präsentieren kann. Schon hatte ich mich entschieden, das Bild namenlos in die Welt zu schicken, als es mir im wahrlich letzten Moment doch noch seinen Titel zuflüsterte.
Rarely has an painting hesitated for so long to tell me his title.
For a week already, the big screen was waiting to show itself to you and wanted to first wear a name that it can present to you. I had already decided to send the picture nameless into the world, when it finally whispered its title to me at the last moment.

Ach, wie schön: gestern Abend erhielt ich die Email von der Saatchi Galerie, dass eines meiner Bilder in ihrer Kollektion vorgestellt sei. Ich freue mich sehr.

manchmal ist das ja so, dass man ganz unerwartet auf etwas Schönes stößt und genau so erging es mir gestern, als ich im Atelier, ganz hinten, in einer dunklen Ecke, zur Wand gedreht zwei Bilder stehen sah. Ich hatte sie ganz vergessen und wusste längst nicht mehr, was ich da eigentlich gemalt hatte, drehte sie also um …und war ehrlich gesagt baff. *Wow*, dachte ich mir, das schaut richtig gut aus.
A surprising find
sometimes it’s so that you come unexpectedly to something beautiful and just as happened to me yesterday when I saw in the studio, at the back, in a dark corner, turned to the wall standing two paintings. I had completely forgotten about it and did not remember what I had actually painted, so turned it around … and frankly was baffled. * Wow *, I thought, that looks really good.

How long was it there, undetected? I can not remember anymore, but some things may take time to mature … in silence, all for itself and now the No. 434 shines powerful from the inside into the world. Just look:

Fast drei Monate lag mein Vater sehr krank im Krankenhaus und es ist nicht so, dass es nun schon alles ausgestanden wäre, aber er befindet sich auf dem Wege der Besserung und ist endlich wieder Zuhause. Lange Zeit sah es nicht sehr gut aus und es war für die ganze Familie eine aufreibende und auch intensive Zeit. Meist fuhr ich zweimal die Woche zu meinen Eltern, besuchte dort zuerst meinen Vater im Krankenhaus, ehe ich anschließend zu meiner Mutter fuhr.
Eine große Freude in diesen angespannten Tagen, war mir die Fahrt an den Niederrhein, durch die, trotz anhaltender Dürre,saftigen Rhein Auen, wo auf den Feldern die Strohballen im Sonnenlicht glänzten, gleich neben den friedlich grasenden Kühen.
Almost three months my father was very ill in the hospital and it’s not that it’s all over now, but he is on the road to recovery and is finally back home. For a long time it did not look very good and it was a stressful and intense time for the whole family. I usually went to see my parents twice a week, visited my father in the hospital first, and then drove to see my mother. A great joy in these tense days, was the trip to the Lower Rhine, through which, despite prolonged drought, lush Rhine floodplains, where in the fields the bales of straw shone in the sunlight right next to the peacefully grazing cows.
Gewundene Dorfstrassen schmiegen sich dort an den schlängelnden Rhein, die kleine Dorfkirche von „Götterswickerham“ bettet sich gemütlich in einer sanften Kurve, ehe sich die Strasse zu der Deichkrone hin öffnet und den Blick auf den regen Schiffsverkehr freigibt. Nur noch halb beladen dürfen dort die Schiffe verkehren, da aufgrund der anhaltenden Trockenheit der Rhein einen rekordverdächtigen Tiefststand von nur noch 2 Metern hat.
Winding village streets nestle there on the meandering Rhine, the small village church of „Götterswickerham“ bends comfortably in a gentle curve, before the road opens to the dike crown and opens the view of the busy shipping traffic. Only half-loaded may the ships operate there, as due to the continuing drought the Rhine has a record-breaking low of only 2 meters.

Pinselwäsche
Ich hoffe, ihr hattet eine schöne Zeit und konntet den Sommer richtig genießen ?! Ich freue mich schon darauf, wieder mehr von euch zu lesen, nachdem ich in den letzten Wochen keine Gelegenheit mehr dazu hatte. Sonnige Grüße und habt weiter eine schöne Zeit!

Ich liebe ja Beides…sowohl die Farbkombination Schwarzgelb, als auch unsere fleissigen Bienen und Hummeln und gerade deren Schicksal hat mich zu diesen beiden Bildern inspiriert.
Wer hätte nicht schon von dem dramatischen Bienensterben gehört und gelesen. Es ist in aller Munde. Unzählige Petitionen wurden gestartet, um Monsanto zu stoppen, die mit ihrem unseligen Glyphosat Unkrautvernichter auch gleich alle Bienenvölker vernichten.
Reine Profitgier treibt sie an und die Vernunft oder auch das Herz bleiben aussen vor.
Die Vernunft, die besagt, dass es ohne Bienen kein Leben geben kann.
Es ist so dramatisch, wie es klingt und der Mensch nicht immer klug im Umgang mit seiner Mitwelt und allzu schnell übersehen wir die Schönheit der Bienen, die ein unglaubliches Wunder des Lebens sind. *Bees Are Life* es ist so wahr und es gibt sogar eine gleichnamige Website dazu, wie ich gerade heraus fand: *Bees Are Life*
I love both…the colorcombination black-yellow and our amazing bees and bumblebees too and there fate inspires me to this two artworks.
Who hasn’t heard about the dramatically bee dying. It is in all mouth. Countless petitions were started to stop Monsanto, who killed with their Glyphosat not only the weeds but all bees too. It is as dramatic as it sounds, and the human is not always wise in dealing with his environment and too fast overlook the beauty of bees, which are an incredible miracle of life. * Bees Are Life * it is so true and there is even an eponymous website about how I found out straight: * Bees Are Life *

Ich finde es immer wieder erschütternd, wie der Mensch mit den Tieren und der Natur generell umgeht…I always find it shattering how people generallytreats theanimals and nature ….
