Im Moment haben mich die klaren kräftigen Farben wieder einmal gefangen genommen und ich genieße zutiefst diese herrlich leuchtenden Rottönen. Ich könnte darin baden, mich reinschmiegen und daran erwärmen. Entstanden ist hier eine Bilderserie mit überwiegend tiefen Rottönen, ein Tanz von Zinnoberrot mit Karminrot, von Krapplack mit tiefem Cadmiumrot. Und auf dieser wunderbar bewegten roten Tanzfläche wirken Weiß und Schwarz wirbelnd und frisch. Ich glaube fast, sie tanzen einen leidenschaftlichen Tango. Sieh es dir selbst an. At the moment I have once again been captivated by the clear, strong colors and I am deeply enjoying the bright red tones. I could bathe in it, nestle myself in it and warm myself. A series of images with predominantly deep red tones, a dance of vermilion with carmine red, of madder with deep cadmium red. And on this wonderfully moving red dance floor, white and black appear swirling and fresh. I almost think they’re dancing a passionate tango. Vielen lieben Dank an das Saatchi Team, dass sie mein Werk „Black and White VII“ in der „New This Week Collection“ präsentieren. Die gesamte Black and White Serie entstand aus einer Laune heraus, mich einmal abseits der sprudelnden und überbordenden Farbigkeit auf ein wesentliches Element an Farbe zu konzentrieren und trotzdem eine Lebendigkeit zu erschaffen. Es hat großen Spaß gemacht, zu sehen, wie auch das Schwarz und Weiss mit starker Ausdruckskraft elegant ihre Geschichte erzählen.

The entire Black and White series was created out of a whim to focus on an essential element of color away from the bubbling and exuberant color and still create a vibrancy. It was great fun to see how the black and white also elegantly tell their story with strong expressiveness.

Sonnenblitzer Wir brauchen diese kleinen Sonnenblitzer am Wegesrand, die uns ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern und uns den Tag erhellen. Sie machen die Schritte leicht und das Herz beschwingt.
Sonnenblitzer– sun flasher We need those little sun flasher by the side of the road to put a smile on our face and brighten our day. They make the steps light and the heart exhilarated.
Einige von euch werden das schon mitbekommen haben: am 14.07. diesen Jahres bin auch ich von der verheerenden Flutwelle in NRW getroffen worden und wir sind mit unserem kompletten Keller abgesoffen.
Das hat mich doch irgendwie “ aus dem Ruder gehauen“, um es mal seemännisch auszudrücken. Es gab und gibt noch immer unendlich viel zu tun, die Suche nach Handwerkern, die Verhandlungen mit den Versicherungen und Gutachtern. Nicht alles macht Freude, nicht alles ist schön und manchmal schlägt es doch wie in Wellen über einem zusammen. So viel ist noch zu reparieren…
Aber: keinesfalls sind wir so schlimm betroffen, wie die armen Menschen im Ahrtal und in der Eifel. Was für schreckliche Schicksale…soviele Tote sind dort zu beklagen, wieviele Menschen haben all ihr Hab und Gut verloren und sind noch heute, ein halbes Jahr später, ohne Heizung, ohne Strom. Unvorstellbar!
Da mag ich gar nicht groß jammern, sondern dankbar sein, dass es uns nicht so arg getroffen hat. Ja, ich bin traurig, dass so viele meiner Bilder zerstört sind- über 80 an der Zahl, aber ich kann Neues erschaffen. Ich habe, Pinsel, Leinwand, Farbe und Mut und kann malen.
Ein paar Bilder sind inmitten all des „Kellergedöns“ schon entstanden und mit einem davon möchte ich euch heute eine frohe und besinnliche Weihnachtszeit wünschen. Und danken mag ich allen, die mich auf vielfältigste Art unterstützt haben: allen Sammlern, Galerien, Bloggerfreunden, meiner ganzen Familie, allen so großartigen Freunden gebührt mein Dank!
Habt es gut und feiert im Kreise eurer Lieben. Rutscht gut rüber. Wir sehen uns hoffentlich alle gesund und munter im Neuen Jahr 2022 wieder.

Drowned!
Some of you will have already noticed: on July 14th. this year we was hit by the devastating tidal wave in North Rhine-Westphalia and our entire basement was flooded.
That somehow „got me out of hand“, to put it in a nautical way. There was and still is an endless amount of work to be done, the search for craftsmen, negotiations with the insurance companies and appraisers. Not everything is fun, not everything is beautiful and sometimes it crashes over you like waves. So much remains to be repaired …
But: we are by no means as badly affected as the poor people in the Ahr valley and in the Eifel. What a terrible fate … so many deaths are to be mourned there, how many people have lost all their belongings and are still today, six months later, without heating, without electricity. Inconceivably!
I don’t like to complain, I just want to be grateful </strong> that it didn’t hit us so badly. Yes, I am sad that so many of my pictures have been destroyed – over 80 in number, but I can create something new. I have a brush, canvas, paint and courage, and I can paint. A few pictures have already been taken in the midst of all the „basement fuss“ and with one of them I would like to wish you a merry and reflective Christmas season. And I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in a variety of ways: I owe my thanks to all collectors, galleries, blogger friends, my whole family, all such great friends! Have it good and celebrate with your loved ones. Slides over well. Hopefully we will all see each other safe and sound in the New Year 2022.
